The Farmington VFW will serve up fish and chicken dinners for eight dollars every Friday evening in May starting at 5 to raise money for veterans programs.

MAY 29, 2015 ALZHEIMERS FUNDRAISER IN POTOSI


A fundraiser for the Alzheimer's Association will be held Friday, May 29th at Hardees in Potosi from 6 a.m. until 10 p.m. 20-percent of the money made will go to the fight against Alzheimers. When you make your order, say your there for Alzheimers.

The Farmington Masonic Lodge will have a pancake and sausage breakfast on Saturday, May 30th starting at 7am. All are welcome.

MAY 30, 2015 KIDS FISHING DERBY IN BONNE TERRE


The Bonne Terre Chamber of Commerce will host a Kids Fishing Derby on Saturday, May 30th at Bonne Terre Lakeview Park. Registration begins at 7am and fishing is from 8 to 10am. Three age groups can compete and children will fish free. Adults assisting children must have a valid fishing license. Prizes and lunch will be provided for all the kids. MAY 30, 2015 IRON MOUNTAIN LAKE "RAKE THE LAKE" FUNDRAISER


RAKE THE LAKE at Iron Mountain Lake is Saturday, May 30th starting at 8 a.m. RAKE THE LAKE is to eliminate weeds and algae and clean out the swimming area for the summer activities! A Fundraiser is also going on to stock the lake with additional fish as well as treating the lake for weed control. Lunch will be pulled pork with all the fixings. DREAMCATCHERS will provide live music from 1 til 4 p.m. Then TRIVIA in the PARK for $5 per person beginning at 4 p.m. Meet and Greet our newly elected board and there's a RAFFLE for 4 St Louis Cardinal tickets as well as 50/50 raffles and other prizes.

The University of Missouri Extension Center in Madison County will be hosting a free Childcare Training on June 11th from 6:15pm-8:15pm. The workshop will be held at the MU Extension Center on West Main Street in Fredericktown. The training is free, but pre-registration is required by calling 573-783-3303 by noon on June 8th, 2015.

An Attorney from Legal Services will be at the Washington County Library in Potosi on Wednesday, June 3rd from 10am to noon to provide no-cost legal assistance to low-income persons experiencing legal problems, excluding criminal and traffic court matters.

JUN 6, 2015 MO DEPT OF TRANSPORTATION EQUIPMENT AUCTION


The Missouri Department of Conservation will hold a public auction of various used department vehicles and equipment on Saturday, June 6th starting at 10 a.m. at the conservation maintenance center in Salem at the junction of Highways 72 and 32. You can view items on Friday the 5th from 8 until 5 and pre-register that Friday from 10 until 5. Registration the day of the sale starts at 7:30.

A fundraiser for Chuck Snider and Family is planned on Saturday, June 6th at the Reynolds County Fairgrounds in Redford beginning at 11:30 am with a bow/shooting match, bbq, auction, and music.

The South Roxanna, Illinois Dad's Club will have their 69th annual Dad's Club Homecoming Thursday through Saturday, June 11th through the 13th at the Dad's Club Park on Roxanna Avenue. Thursday, June 11th country music legend T. Graham Brown will perform from 7 to 10pm, Friday the Harvest Drive Band performs at 7pm and Saturday South Central performs at 7pm. There's also a carnival, food and much more. The Dad's Club supports the local boy and girl scouts organizations, the community park, and local families in need.

The University of Missouri Extension will be hosting a program on Identity Theft & Consumer Protection on Tuesday, June 16th at the MU Extension Center in Fredericktown at 5:30pm. The class, taught by Family Financial Education Specialist Ashley Bales, will address how to remedy and prevent theft of your personal information.
