APR 1-29, 2015 FARMINGTON VFW MON-WED APRIL BREAKFASTS


The Farmington VFW will serve breakfast on Monday and Wednesday mornings during the month of April starting at 7am. All you can eat for five dollars. Proceeds benefit the programs the VFW supports.

APR 26-30, 2015 MAC CONTINUING EDUCATION CLASSES FOR MAY & JUNE

The St. Francois County Historical Society is meeting at 7PM Tuesday April 28th at the Farmington Fire House. Please come and be a part of our informative group.

APR 28-MAY 12, 2015 SMALL BUSINESS CLASSES AT SE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FUND OFFIC


The Southeast Economic Development Fund (SEEDS) office will offer "Money Smart for Small Business" classes starting Tuesday, April 28th and going through Tuesday, May 12th. The classes will meet on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6 to 9pm at the office in the old Depot on Municipal Drive in Park Hills. The series is geared toward persons with no formal business training. The classes are free but you must register. St. Joseph Parish in Bonne Terre will have a church yard sale on Friday and Saturday, May 1st and 2nd from 7 to 5 each day.

MAY 1, 2015 NORTH COUNTY BACK PACK PROGRAM TRIVIA NIGHT


A trivia night fundraiser is being held to benefit the North County Back Pack Program on Friday, May 1st in the commons area of North County High School. Doors open at 6:30 and trivia starts at 7. The entry fee is $100 per table of 8 to 10 players. For more information call 915-2074.

MAY 1, 2015 ANNAUL RUMMAGE SALE AT UMMC IN FARMINGTON


The United Methodist Women of Memorial United Methodist Church will hold their annual spring rummage sale Friday, May 1 and Saturday, May 2. Friday's sale begins at 1 and ends at 6; Saturday's sale begins at 8 and ends at noon. The sale will be in Fellowship Hall. The church is on Karsch Boulevard--across from Belgrade State Bank.

There's a used book sale on Saturday, May 2nd from 9am to 2pm at the North County Middle School in Desloge. Please enter the side library door on School Street. There will be hundred's of books for sale.

The Leadwood Methodist Church will have an all you can eat breakfast on Saturday, May 2nd from 7 to 10:30 am. Adults are $5 dollars, children are $3 dollars and under 5 is free.

The Masonic Lodge #266 of Ste. Genevieve is hosting a Charity BBQ Saturday, May 2nd from 11am-5pm at the Jour de Fete Grounds. Proceeds benefit EMAA.

MAY 2, 2015 ST. MICHAEL'S HOUSE RUMMAGE SALE IN CADET


Rural Parish Workers of Christ the King in Cadet will host a rummage sale on Saturday, May 2nd from 9 until 1 at Saint Michael's House at the junction of Highway 21 and 'C-C" across from Washington State Park on the parish grounds. The sale will feature clothing, shoes, household, linens, purses, toys, furniture and a lots more.

MAY 2, 2015 ALPACA SHEARING DEMONSTRATION FOR CHARITY IN FLETCHER


There will be an alpaca shearing demonstration in support of autism on Saturday, May 2nd from 10 until 4 at Big River Alpacas in Fletcher on Calico Road. There will be door prizes and raffles. You can also check out the mini pig, donkey, angora goats and mini horse. Admission is free.

An attorney from legal services will be at the Washington County library in Potosi on Wednesday, May 6th from 10am to noon providing no-cost legal assistance to low-income persons experiencing civil legal problems excluding criminal and traffic court matters.

The Ste. Genevieve Community Blood Drive will be held Thursday, May 7th from noon until 6 at the VFW Hall on Memorial Hill.

MAY 7, 2015 NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER SERVICE IN FARMINGTON


The American Family Association of St. Francois County will hold its 19th annual National Day of Prayer service at the St. Francois County Court House on May 7 at 6:00 P.M. Rev. Kevin Kaplar will provide music beginning at 5:30 P.M. Keynote speaker will be Rev. Kevin Davis of the Farmington First Assembly of God Church. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to bring their lawn chairs.

MAY 7, 2015 NEWCOMERS CLUB LUNCHEON IN FARMINGTON

MAY 9, 2015 FREDERICKTOWN JR ROTC & STUDENT COUNCIL FUNDRAISER


There’s a fundraiser for the Fredericktown High School JR. ROTC and Student Council called Drive One 4UR School being held at Auto Plaza Ford in Fredericktown on May, 9th. Each test drive a new ford and the students get paid $20, and can earn up to 6,000. Proceeds will help with both club’s upcoming functions.

There's Poker run to benefit Camp Hope in Farmington on Saturday, April 4th. The run begins at the Desoto Elks and will end at Steve's Place in Old Mines.
