(PIEDMONT, Mo.) – It’s been a story of improvement for the Clearwater Tigers volleyball team in recent years.

Head coach Lisa Ayers is entering her 4th season at the helm, and while her first year saw the Tigers win just 3 games, that total moved up to 12 in 2017, and 15 in 2018 as Clearwater finished with an overall record of 15-18.

Despite the fact that star player from last year Faith Hoppe has graduated and moved on to John A. Logan Community College, the Tigers still return a lot from last year.

That’s according to Coach Ayers.

And Ayers says she has a much more complete squad this year.

Leadership wise, Ayers says that she’s identified some great table-setters for the 2019 team.

The Clearwater Tigers volleyball team will get their season started on Tuesday, September 3rd as they take on Eminence on the road at 6 in the evening.
