Farmington Knights Join Football Roundtable

(Farmington) The Farmington Knights football team joined the Cole’s Tractor and Equipment Football Roundtable on J98 Tuesday evening. Head Coach Erik Kruppe, linebacker Damien Cabrera, lineman Luke Birkner, wide receiver/defensive back Rhett Kauflin, and wide receiver/linebacker Gabe Giuliani stopped by to discuss their playoff run and the season so far.

Cabrera missed a couple of weeks with a concussion at the end of the regular season. He describes how he stayed involved while he was unable to play.

Birkner says the Knights play in a competitive district.

Kauflin recalls one of his favorite memories as a member of the Knights.

Giuliani says that the Farmington team that played in the game against Cape Central is not the one he expects to see on Friday.

The Knights finished the regular season with four straight losses, but have been victorious in the first tow weeks of the Class 5 Playoffs. They’ll face Cape Central on Friday for the Class 5 District 1 Championship.
