(IMPERIAL) Windsor Owls Athletic Director Tom Ludwig appeared on KJFF Sports Talk Wednesday with plenty of positive energy when talking about the upcoming fall sports season.

After the Windsor community approved a bond issue recently, the school will be able to provide some new fields for their athletics programs.

The Windsor softball team will again be led by Wayne Montgomery after finishing last season at 16-12. Ludwig likes the potential of the 2018 team.

The volleyball team had somewhat of a down year last season after losing several impactful seniors from a 21-7 district runner-up side in 2016. Ludwig says through the youth movement, the team was still able to get to 13-16. He remains confident in the players and head coach Stephanie Dueker that they will turn it around this fall.

Then there is the Windsor football team which Ludwig believes is heading in the right direction despite a winless 2017. It’s the attitude of the players that he likes.

Homecoming for Windsor is September 28th against Festus and senior night October 19th against Bayless. Volleyball hosts a tournament August 25th and softball will participate in a Jamboree at Lutheran South Friday. Tune into KJFF Sports Talk again this afternoon at 4:15 with Herculaneum Athletic Director Jonathon Roop.
