Body Found in the Mississippi River near Kimmswick Thursday Afternoon

(Kimmswick) The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the medical examiner is working to identify the body of a man pulled out of the Mississippi River Thursday afternoon.
Corporal Juston Wheetley with the highway patrol says the body was spotted around 2 p.m. in the river across from Hoppies Marina in Kimmswick.
While it’s not official, authorities said it appeared the man had drowned.
Along with the highway patrol, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and area fire departments responded to the call.
