(Hillsboro) The Jefferson College baseball team is less then two weeks away from their first games of the 2012 season. Recently, the NJCAA released their national poll with Jefferson coming in at number 13. Vikings head coach Sam Carel says coming off a World Series appearance certainly helps.
With the weather being so mild this winter, Coach Carel says they have taken advantage of it.
Like the baseball team, the Jefferson softball team has been conducting practices outside as well. The Jefferson College baseball team starts the new season next Friday (2-10) with a weekend trip Meridian, Mississippi.
