(Hillsboro) The Jefferson College women's basketball team defeated Crowder Saturday 78 to 75 in a game heard live on KJFF. It was a close game the majority of the time and Lady Vikings head coach Tonika Bruce said free throws by sophomore LaQuinta Jefferson helped earn the win.
Coach Bruce said she was proud of the Lady Vikings giving it their all.
It was the fifth win in a row for the Lady Vikings who are now 19 and 4 for the season and 5 and 2 in Region 16 play. Jefferson College travels to Illinois to take on Lewis & Clark Community College on Wednesday.
