FEB 18, 2012 VIKINGS BASEBALL EDGED BY NEW MEXICO (AUDIO)

(Dennison) The Jefferson College baseball team lost to New Mexico Community College Saturday 2 to 1. The teams were scheduled to play a double header but Vikings head coach Sam Carel said the weather only allowed them to get five innings in.

The Vikings are now 4 and 2 for the season and next play a double header against Southwestern Illinois on Saturday. The games will be at GCS Ballpark in Sauget and the first one starts at 1.
