PAT BONE ON FESTUS LEGION WINNING ZONE 4 TITLE (Audio)

(Festus) The Festus Post 253 American Legion baseball team has won the Zone 4 tournament for the third straight season. Festus wrapped up the championship with a 7-2 win over Eureka on Sunday night. Festus manager Pat Bone says winning this tournament yet again is very special for the seniors that are back from last year's World Series team.

Festus will face Carthage on Thursday night at 8:30 in the state finals from Sedalia, Missouri. The game prior to that will have Washington against the winner of the Zone 2 tournament. Zone 2 has been backed up by several days of rain in the Kansas City area, and their champion has yet to be determined. You can hear the Festus games at the state championships on 1400 K-JEFF.
