Two Perry County Doctors Test Positive for COVID-19

(Perryville) Perry County Memorial Hospital President Patrick Carron confirmed a doctor tested positive for the Coronavirus while working. The ER doctor put on full protective equipment and continued to work because the emergency center was understaffed and in “crisis mode”.

The hospital contacted a staffing company to find a replacement for the doctor. The doc was then relieved of their duties. The news release also confirmed another doctor, who was off duty, tested positive.

In response to the positive cases, another ER doctor refused to work and later resigned.
