(FESTUS) The DeSoto football Dragons and Festus Tigers will meet at Tigers Stadium for the first round of the Class 4 District 1 tournament Friday night on AM 1400 KJFF.
DeSoto enters as the 5th seed with a record of 4-5 while Festus is the 4th seed and also 4-5. DeSoto bested the Tigers 38-20 back in Week 5 behind some early Festus turnovers and three touchdown passes from Briar Fischer.
Dragons head coach Chris Johnson believes that getting off to another good start will benefit his team greatly.

As far as solving the problem of an athletic Briar Fischer, Coach Schmidt says that the defense is going to have to crank up their pass rush.
