Ironton Man gets Prison for Holding Knife to Childs’ Throat

(Ironton) An Ironton man, who was facing several charges after allegedly holding a knife to a child’s throat, has cut a plea deal in Iron County court and has been sentenced to prison.

Mark Allen Orrick will pled guilty Wednesday to counts of 2nd degree assault.

Orrick threatened to kill a child last year and held a knife to a 2-year-old’s throat.

Orrick was originally charged with 2nd degree kidnapping, abuse or neglect of a child, armed criminal action, two 2nd degree assault charges and resisting arrest.

He was sentenced to 10 years in prison on both counts.
