(PERRYVILLE, Mo.) – The Perry Park Center will soon undergo Phase 2 of a large construction project. The Perryville Board of Aldermen approved a contract involving the replacement of the HVAC system at Tuesday night’s board meeting. City administrator Brent Buerck said this project is necessary to bring the facility up to date.
The board also approved improvements to the theatre sound system and concession stand at the park center. Also at the meeting, board members discussed the recent approval of Proposition B, which will increase the state’s minimum wage incrementally through 2023, bringing it to $12 per hour.
The board had already approved a pay increase for Perryville city employees at the last meeting on Nov. 20.
