(Pucky Huddle) As 2019 winds down, we have an update on the big project going on at Mark Twain National Forest’s Red Bluff Campground in Pucky Huddle.

Becky Ewing is a ranger for the forest service.

She says the wet stuff caused major headaches with the project this year.

Ewing explains what they hope to do soon.

Until new campgrounds are built, Ewing says campers will continue to stay at the sites in the Huzzah Creek flood plain located along the lower and upper loop roads.

Ewing also says the entire project could take several years to complete as they have to get federal funding approval as the project moves along.

Red Bluff Campground is located in southern Crawford County off ‘V’ Highway in Pucky Huddle.

The site is currently closed for the season and will re-open in the spring.
