(FARMINGTON/FESTUS) Regional Radio’s weekend coverage of the NFL Divisional Round playoffs kicks off Saturday at 3.
The 11-6 Indianapolis Colts are in Kansas City to face the 12-4 Chiefs. The Colts are arguably the hottest team in the NFL with 10 wins in their last 11 games. Colts quarterback Andrew Luck says the key to their success has been the proverbial “take it one game at a time” mentality.
The Chiefs received a first-round bye for finishing as the AFC’s top seed. Leading MVP candidate and Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is excited for the challenge of playing in his first playoff game.
The Colts and Chiefs kick-off at 3:35 with our pregame coverage beginning at 3 on AM 800 KREI and AM 1400 KJFF.
Following the Colts-Chiefs will be an NFC duel between the visiting 11-6 Dallas Cowboys and the 13-3 Los Angeles Rams. Dallas beat Seattle in the 1st round 24-22. Head coach Jason Garrett doesn’t want that win to be the end-all, be-all.
The Rams received a first-round bye for finishing with the second-best record in the NFC. Quarterback Jared Goff hopes the group can rebound from last year’s playoff loss to Atlanta.
The Cowboys and Rams are set for a 7:15 kickoff, also on AM 800 KREI and AM 1400 KJFF.
Then tune in Sunday for more NFL playoff coverage as the L.A. Chargers visit New England and the Philadelphia Eagles take on the NFC’s best, New Orleans Saints. Coverage of those games will begin at 11:30 a.m. on AM 800 KREI and AM 1400 KJFF.
