Ste. Genevieve City Council Puts Property Tax Increase Proposal on April Election Ballot

(Ste. Genevieve) Ste. Genevieve City residents will be voting on a property tax increase issue in April.

Mayor Paul Hassler says the ballot language was approved during Thursday night’s city council meeting.

Also at the meeting, a request for a special use permit was denied to Robinson Outdoors who wanted to put up an L.E.D. digital billboard.

In other news from Thursday night’s Ste. Genevieve City Council meeting, Greta Basler was appointed to the Ste. Genevieve Housing Authority Board.

Also, approval was given to purchase 13 Glock G-17 9 millimeter pistols and 9 Glock G-43 9 millimeter pistols for less than 3-thousand dollars for the police department.
