Conservation Department approves Recreational Drone Use on State Lands

(Jefferson City) The Missouri Conservation Department has unanimously approved a new policy allowing recreational drones to be used on department land.

Drone operators will be required to get a permit.

The new policy bans commercial use of drones on the land and close-up shots of wildlife that could be considered harassment.

Hunters are already prohibited from using drones to find wildlife.

The Missouri Conservation Commission met last week in Jefferson City.
