Local Fire Departments Advise Against Outdoor Burning with Strong Winds

(Jefferson County) Local fire departments are asking people not to do any outdoors burning with the strong gusty winds across the area.

Dunklin Fire Protection District Chief Brad Williams says when winds gust this strong, it can cause a major fire hazard outside.

Chief Williams adds fires can get out of hand fast with strong winds.

Winds are expected to subside throughout the day on Friday with max sustained winds of 15 mph and gusts up to 25 mph.
