Potosi Legion Uses Long Ball To Jump Past Ste. Gen, 7-2

(STE. GENEVIEVE, Mo.) – Potosi Legion Post 265 picked up a big victory over Ste. Genevieve Legion Post 150 by a score of 7-2 in legion baseball Tuesday night on KREI. With the score tied at 1 in the third inning, former West County Bulldog Hayden Roney gave Potosi the lead back.

Later in the fifth inning, former Potosi Trojan Noah Jacobsen added on to the lead.

West County pitcher Dakota Dowd picked up the win for Post 265, going six innings with two runs allowed on five hits and seven strikeouts. Potosi coach Jake Swain said it was good to see the offense turn around after a slow start.

Potosi Post 265 improved to 3-1 with the win while Ste. Genevieve Post 150 fell to 5-2. Ste. Genevieve plays again Wednesday against Rock Memorial. Potosi is off until next Monday when they face DeSoto.
