(Park Hills) The base rate for wastewater user fees in Park Hills will be going up three dollars to 8 dollars and 50 cents.
The City Council approved the measure during Tuesday night’s meeting.
City Administrator Mark McFarland says they did this so they will be ready for future wastewater improvement projects such as putting in a new lift station.
However, McFarland says compared to other towns, Park Hills residents are still getting a good deal.
The Park Hills City Council also accepted a bid for some paving projects.
In other news from Tuesday night’s Park Hills City Council meeting, a vacant lot has been turned over to the Industrial Development Authority to see if they can find a buyer to put a business in that location.
Also, it was announced Ameren Missouri, for around 39-thousand dollars, will install electric on the parking lot, the bathrooms and at the front gate of the fairgrounds.
