School District Sells More than 55 Acres to an Area Real Estate Company

(Hillsboro) 55 acres of property along A Highway at Sandy Valley Road in the Hillsboro area has officially been sold by the Hillsboro School District.

School board members voted in favor to sell the land during their June meeting to an area real estate company.

Hillsboro schools Superintendent Dr. Jon Isaacson provides information on why the district decided to initially buy and eventually sell the property.

Dr. Isaacson says since the enrollment increases never happened as thought, the district started to plan what’s next for the open property.

Todd Real Estate Services of Festus was hired by the school district to appraise the property before the bidding process.
Again, the 55 acres of land has been sold to Bridle Creek Properties of Ste. Genevieve for $400,001.
