Jefferson County getting help from FEMA

(Jefferson County) Jefferson County has officially been deemed a Missouri county that is receiving disaster assistance from the spring and early summer flooding. Darrell Habisch works External Affairs for the Federal Emergency Management Agency. He says there is grant money available, but don’t wait for the funds before repairing the damage.

Habisch says to make sure all paperwork is in order.

There is a FEMA Disaster Recovery Center office set up at the St. Charles Family Arena to have face to face discussions about getting grant funding for those housing repairs. They are open Monday through Saturday from 8AM until 6PM. You can also call them at 1-800-621-FEMA (3362). You can email them at disaster assistance dot gov.
