Farmington School District And Dealing With Inclement Weather

(FARMINGTON, Mo.) – Winter weather is getting closer and that’s always a focus point for our area school districts.

Stacy Williams is the Transportation Director for the Farmington School District and tells us about deciding whether or not to keep school in session when there’s snow on the ground.

And here’s bus driver for the district Jessica Long on the mindset for driving through snowy conditions if school isn’t canceled.

Due to the April no-tax-increase bond issue that passed in the Farmington School District, the district is getting five new buses this month.

All of those new buses will have cameras which will assist in recording other cars if they blow past the bus stop sign arm which is deployed when kids are being dropped off or picked up.
