3 Arrested Between Bixby & Viburnum on Drug & Other Charges

(Bixby) Three individuals were arrested Thursday in Iron County and are facing multiple felony charges.

According to the Iron County Sheriff’s Department Facebook page, a search warrant was served at a residence in what’s called “The Ponderosa”, located between Bixby and Viburnum.

Deputies seized firearms, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, cash and a side by side from the property.

50-year-old Donnie Barton Jr. of Bixby was arrested and is facing the felonies of first degree endangering the welfare of a child involving drugs and possession of a controlled substance.

He’s being held on a 5-thousand dollar bond.

Also arrested was 37-year-old Robert “Bobby” Metz of Viburnum who has been charged with first degree endangering the welfare of a child involving drugs, resisting arrest by fleeing and creating a substantial risk of serious injury or death to a person, possession of a controlled substance and driving while having a revoked or suspended license.

Rose Howell was also arrested but no information was given on her charges.

Metz and Howell also had outstanding warrants.

At this time, no initial court dates have been set for the three.
