(Jefferson County) Republican incumbent Blaine Luetkemeyer will be returning to Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. as Representative of Missouri’s 3rd Congressional District.

Luetkemeyer defeated Democrat Megan Rezabek by more than 160-thousand votes. Luetkemeyer says he’s ready to get back to work.

In Jefferson County, Luetkemeyer received 69 percent of the vote.

Luetkemeyer has represented the 3rd Congressional District of Missouri in the United States House of Representatives since 2009.

In the race for Representative in Missouri’s 8th Congressional District, Jason Smith was re-elected with 253-thousand-646 votes over Democratic challenger Kathy Ellis’ 70,504 votes.

Smith was favored by 76 percent of the vote.

Finally in the 2nd Congressional District, voters re-elected Representative Ann Wagner who had more than 29,000 votes over Democrat Jill Schupp.

Wagner received 51 percent of the vote.
