30th Hiway Rodders Car Club Mayfest Car Show in Perryville

(Perryville) It’s almost time for the Perryville Mayfest celebration.

It’s set for Friday evening, May 12th and Saturday the 13th.

One event that has been a regular for 30 years is the Mayfest Car Show put on by the Hiway Rodders Car Club.

Club member Landon Koetting says they have categories for just about anything that has four wheels.

Koetting says the car show will have other features too.

Registration for the Perryville Mayfest Car Show runs from 9 until noon on Saturday, May 13th.

Members of the Hiway Rodders Car Club will do the judging from 11 until 3.

Club members are not allowed to have any entries in their own car show.

Awards should be handed out at about 3 o’clock that afternoon.

The parade will kick off Mayfest Friday evening the 12th at 6 and the route runs from the city park to the downtown Perry County Courthouse square.

Mayfest weekend will also feature craft and food vendors, a cutest baby contest, a diaper derby, a decorated diaper contest and carnival rides.

Also, live music with the Well Hungarians will be featured on Friday night the 12th and Saturday night the 13th, it’s Crossroads.

Both bands will perform each night from 7 until 11 in the downtown plaza.
