Farmington Schools Issue Mask Mandate

(Farmington) The list of schools issuing mask mandates continues to grow.

The Farminton School District has now joined that list of schools.

A letter from Superintendent Matt Ruble to families in the district states that there has been a significant increase in the number of positive Covid Cases and there are currently over 200 students that are currently being quarantined due to close contact.

The letter also states that these students will miss over 10,000 hours of instruction.

The mask mandate will begin on Monday.

Face coverings will be required to enter any building in the Farmington school District for students, adults and visitors.

The district says it will continue to monitor the situation and reevaluate based on data and guidance from the CDC.
