6th Ranked West County and 8th Ranked St. Pius Battle for Class 3 District 3 Title on J-98

(Frankclay) The St. Pius girls may be seeing purple in their nightmares. The West County girls ended the Lancers season last year in the state sectional and then beat them again to open this season. However, not many teams are hotter as St. Pius has won 17 straight coming into today’s Class 3 District 3 Championship game. Both teams are state ranked. 21-5 West is 6th. 24-3 St. Pius is 8th. St. Pius coach Aaron Portell says they’ll have to find another level to knock of the Bulldogs…
