#7 West County Baseball Heads South To Battle #1 Portageville In Class 3 Quarterfinals On KREI

(Portageville) The #7 West County baseball team will head south to the bootheel Thursday afternoon for the Class Three Quarterfinals at #1 Portageville. We’ll have the call on AM-800 KREI beginning at 4:15.

West County are 20-4 on the season after beating #9 Valley Park in eight innings on Tuesday. That win came after a district championship win against #1 Valle Catholic last week. Coach Bobby Simily is proud to run through the gauntlet with this group of Bulldogs.

Portageville are 33-2 with losses to Valle Catholic and Kennett.

The last time West County won a state quarterfinal game was on May 24th, 2017 against the Portageville Bulldogs in Portageville. The final score was 15-3.
