#8 Rebels Host Ste. Genevieve In Class 3 District 1 Semifinals On J98
(Park Hills) The Central Rebels and Ste. Genevieve Dragons will meet in the Class 3 District 1 semifinals for the J98 Game of the Week.
The 8th ranked Rebels are 9-1 on the year after defeating Fredericktown last week.
Central defeated Ste. Gen earlier this season, 45-3, at the home of the Rebels. But Kory Schweiss is expecting to see a different Ste. Genevieve this time around.
The Dragons are 8-2 on the year.
In three games since returning from injury, Wyatt Springkamper has 21 catches for 427 yards and six touchdowns. Ste. Genevieve has scored 139 points in those games.
Safe to say that Dragons coach Jay Pope understands what his junior playmaker brings to the team.
Pope remembers what happened on September 23rd when his Dragons were run out of Park Hills. The message to his team is to forget the past and look forward.
Same goes for Kory Schweiss.
Friday’s game will be in Park Hills. Central is the two seed in the district while Ste. Genevieve is the three seed.
The night begins with the Flieg’s Equipment Pregame Show at 6 o’clock on J98. Kickoff is set for 7 o’clock.
