City Administrator Mark McFarland tells us what’s happening.

McFarland tells us about his biggest accomplishment during his five and a half years as Park Hills city administrator.

McFarland is also proud to say he helped bring the City of Park Hills out of financial difficulties.

Mark McFarland spent a total of 27 and a half years working in some form or another for Park Hills.

He spent 20 years as a city council member.

He was a member of the charter committee for two years, which eventually led to the consolidation in January 1994 that brought together the towns of Flat River, Elvins, Esther and Rivermines to form Park Hills.

This Friday will be the last day as city administrator for the 68-year-old.

For his retirement, McFarland says the main thing he will be doing is sitting on his porch swing and drinking coffee.
