(St. Francois County) A four vehicle traffic accident Tuesday afternoon on Highway 67 at Weible Road has left two people injured, one seriously.

The highway patrol says a Chevy Impala driven by 86 year old Bessie Thompson of Park Hills made an unsafe lane change and hit a Ford Fusion driven by Dennis haynes of Desoto.

A third vehicle, driven by Russell Schroeder of Wisconsin swerved to avoid the accident and hit the median.

He was struck from behind by a fourth vehicle, driven by Srah Jameson of Hillsboro.

Thompson was seriously injured in the crash while a passenger in her vehicle, 90 year old Ervin Hamman of Desloge, sustained moderate injuries.

Both were taken to Parkland Health Center in Farmington.
