Sutton Breaks Bunker Basketball Scoring Record

Bunker boys’ basketball star Cade Sutton broke the school record for career points on Tuesday night during a 74-38 win over Valley. He did so by scoring 50 points on senior night, having entered the game 49 points away from the record. Sutton said he’s still processing the accomplishment and thanked the previous record holder, girls’ basketball player Jacey Skaggs, for her support.

Bunker head coach Rod Gorman was happy that Sutton’s performance came naturally.

Gorman, who has been coaching basketball for 36 years, also analyzed what makes Sutton such an incredible player.

Bunker is now 20-4 on the season and plays their next game on the road against Norwood.
