A Few Days Left for Missouri Legislature to Hash Out $500 Tax Credit Plan

(Jefferson City) Missouri senators have voted to return money to state taxpayers. House Bill 2090 now includes a tax credit of up to $500 for every Missourian earning less than $150,000 annually.

Married couples filing jointly with a combined income of less than $300,000 could qualify for a $1,000 tax credit.

Missouri Senate President Pro Tem Dave Schatz of Sullivan says this is thanks to a senate amendment to the bill.

The bill still has to go back through the House before this refund becomes reality.

Senate Minority Floor Leader John Rizzo of Kansas City says they made sure to set income guidelines.
