A Park Hills Woman Died, And Two More Seriously Injured, In St. Francois County Car Crash

(St. Francois County) A woman was killed, and two others were seriously injured, in a car crash on Route B in St. Francois County Monday afternoon. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the fatal crash happened near Beck Drive when 61-year-old Regina Yeaher of Park Hills was driving southbound on Route B in a 2022 Honda Pilot. She was inattentive to the roadway and failed to maintain her vehicle in the right half of the roadway. As Yeaher traveled travled off the right side of the road, she overcorrected her vehicle by steering to the left and began to skid. At the same time, a 2022 Chevy Silverado driven by 44-year-old Douglas Lawson of Hillsboro, was traveling northbound on Route B. Lawson attempted to avoid collision by applying pressure to his brakes and steering to the right. Yaeher’s Honda crossed the center of the road and its front bumper struck the front bumper of Lawson’s vehicle. Upon impact, both vehicles traveled off the right side of northbound Route B. Yeaher was pronounced dead on scene by the St. Francois County coroner at 1:08 Monday afternoon. Both Lawson and his passenger, 43-year-old Travis Washburn of St. Louis, were seriously injured and air lifted to Mercy Hospital St. Louis
