(Potosi) Absentee voting starts Tuesday for the August 4th primary election.

Washington County Clerk Jenny Allen says there is also a deadline coming up for those not registered to vote yet.

Allen says the State has added a new reason on why you can vote absentee.

It’s if you are worried about catching the coronavirus.

Now, if you do request a mail-in ballot, you will need to find a notary to sign your ballot before you send it back to your local county clerk’s office.

Winners of the August 4th primary election will move on to the general election which is set for November 3rd.
