Advance Knocks off Lesterville 3-1 For 3rd Straight Title

(Cape Girardeau) The Lesterville volleyball team finished the season as the Class One State Runner Up as as they fell to Advance 3-1 at the Show Me Center in Cape Girardeau. The victory gave Advance its third straight state championship. The Hornets took set one 25-13. Lesterville came out strong in the second going up 10-6, but Advance used a 10-0 run that became an 18-4 run to claim set two 25-15. Advance enjoyed an experience advantage with six of their top seven players being seniors. Lesterville had only one senior, Mallory Polk. Lesterville ends the year at 25-11-2. Advance takes the title at 35-1-2.
