(Farmington) The High School Girl’s basketball season gets started Saturday in Farmington with the Amped Lifestyle Shootout at the Civic Center. The shootout features Farmington, St. Paul, Ste. Genevieve, West County, St. Pius, and Herculaneum as well as a few other schools outside of the listening area. The action starts early Saturday morning at 10 am with the last game tipping off at 8:30 pm. Helping to put on this event is Justin Ford, the Athletic Director at St. Paul Lutheran. He says this is a great showcase for women’s basketball in our area.

The nightcap features Farmington taking on Vashon at the 8:30 slot. Knights Head Coach Rusty Sancegraw talks about the upcoming matchup with the Wolverines.

Other games on Saturday’s schedule have St. Paul vs Lutheran South at 1, Herculaneum vs Scott City at 4, St. Pius vs Ste. Genevieve at 5:30 and West County vs Sikeston at 7. It will cost $7 to attend.
