Announcement to be Made Regarding Ste. Genevieve National Historical Park

(Ste. Genevieve) An announcement will be made Monday, January 27th regarding the new Ste. Genevieve National Historical Park which is yet to open.

Ste. Genevieve County Presiding Commissioner Garry Nelson tells us a little about that coming announcement.

The National Park Service has acquired the Beauvais-Amoureux House, The Louis Bolduc House, The Jean-Baptiste Valle House and several other historical buildings in Ste. Genevieve.

Once the park does open, Ste. Genevieve National Historical Park will showcase the only surviving French Colonial village in the country.

Ste. Genevieve, established in the mid-1700s, was the first white settlement on the west bank of the Mississippi River.
