Applebee’s Of Farmington Athlete Of The Week: Senior Lucy Pace, North County High School

(Bonne Terre) This week’s Applebee’s of Farmington Athlete of the Week is Lucy Pace from North County High School.
The senior tennis player earned 5th place at the Class One state singles tournament last weekend. Pace fell in the opening round of the tournament but she won her next four matches in the consolation bracket.
Her coach, Courtney Stufflebean, says Pace was playing some of her best tennis ever after the loss.
This is Pace’s second time placing at state. She finished second in doubles in 2021 and qualified for the state singles tournament last year but failed to place. Stufflebean says Pace put in a lot of work in the offseason to improve her game.
Coach Stufflebean tells us what Lucy Pace has meant to the North County tennis program over the last four years.
Pace had a record of 21-2 in singles matches this season. As Athlete of the Week, she will receive a t-shirt, certificate and a coupon for a free entrée at Applebee’s in Farmington.
