April Is Child Abuse Prevention Month

(Farmington) April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. Jeri Wright is a volunteer coordinator with CASA of the Parkland, a group that advocates for children in the foster care system. She says they’ll be especially busy during the month.

Blue Sunday is where area churches are asked to pray for children who are victims of child abuse. CASA of the Parkland works with children in a four county area, including, Washington, Madison, St. Francois and Ste. Genevieve Counties.
