Arcadia Valley Community Picnic Saturday in Pilot Knob

(Pilot Knob) The 2nd Annual Arcadia Valley Community Picnic takes place Saturday at Battle of Pilot Knob State Historic Site.

There’s going to be all kinds of fun with craft booths, food booths, old fashioned games like a watermelon eating contest, a pie eating contest, a Matchbox car derby and more.

The Arcadia Valley Theatre Guild will once again be there and you are invited to participate in their production.

That’s Arcadia Valley Chamber of Commerce member Michelle Swane.

She says the theme for Saturday’s picnic is “Fairy Tales”.

Saturday’s Arcadia Valley Community Picnic is a fundraiser for the community’s fireworks display which is scheduled for the night of Independence Day.

Other fun at the picnic is the Arcadia Valley Chalk Art competition, there’s a horseshoe tournament and a bean toss tournament.

Saturday’s picnic runs from 10 until 4 at Fort Davidson in Pilot Knob.
