Arcadia Valley Gets Revenge on Fredericktown in a Nail Biter

(Ironton) Arcadia Valley defended their home court tonight as they defeated Fredericktown 78-73 on the MyMoInfo SportStream. AV Jumped out to a lead in the early going and held a 22-14 lead after the first quarter. Fredericktown fought back and trailed by just one at half time thanks to good three-point shooting.

The Blackcats took the lead at the end of the third quarter setting up a tight finish. Arcadia Valley sophomore Jackson Dement lead the way scoring 13 of his 15 second-half points in the fourth quarter.

Dement was our Applebee’s of Farmington Player of the Game with 29 points. Tigers head coach Eric Thompson says it was a battle all night long.

Arcadia Valley improves to 4-7 and will play Kingston on Friday while Fredericktown falls to 9-7 and plays Ste. Genevieve on Friday.
