(IRONTON) The oldest basketball in the region makes its way to J-98 for the semi-finals of the 91st Annual Arcadia Valley Thanksgiving Tournament.

The first semi-final contest features the top-seed West County Bulldogs (1-0) taking on the five-seed Lesterville Bearcats (1-0). Bulldogs head coach Chris Labruyere says his team fought off some opening-round nerves, but will need to pick up intensity on defense Wednesday night.

The Bearcats secured a first-round upset of the four-seed Bismarck. Lesterville head coach Lee Richardson says his team will need to play a cleaner game to keep pace with the Bulldogs.

The #5 vs. #1 match will begin with a 6:15 p.m. pregame show and 6:30 p.m. tip on J-98.The second semi-final of the evening squares off No. 3 South Iron and the second-seed host Arcadia Valley.

South Iron (1-0) head coach Dusty Dinkins says his Panthers are a younger team this year, but that doesn’t deter them from their goals.

The hosting Tigers (1-0) boast seven seniors. However, head coach Ricky Turnbough says he’s counting on a young familiar face to be the floor general.
