(IRONTON, Mo.) – The Arcadia Valley Tigers volleyball team earned a home MAAA victory on Monday night as they defeated the Farmington Knights in straight sets, 25-15, 25-22 on KREI.

With Arcadia Valley holding onto a two point lead in the opening frame, junior Dream Teamers Gracee Smith and Maddie DeMent began to take over, one from the service area and another at the net.

DeMent, our Applebee’s of Farmington Player of the Game, would end up with a swing at set point.

The second set would be closer, as Farmington fought to tie it at 20-all.

But AV would pull ahead at the end, as they served for match point at 24-22…

Tigers head coach Tara Lamb thought it was a good effort from both teams.

Farmington is replacing 8 seniors from last year and had two others out with injury.

Head coach Haley Baker was proud of her squad even in defeat.

Arcadia Valley improves to 13-4 with the win and travels to North County for a road matchup on Tuesday with the Raiders.

Farmington is now 3-11-3 and has Desoto at home Tuesday.
