Arcadia Valley Volleyball Player Maddie DeMent Earns Dream Team Honor
December 6, 2018 9:30AM CST
Arcadia Valley volleyball’s Maddie DeMent may only be a sophomore, but that did not stop her from leading her team in both blocks and kills from the middle hitter position, and also earning a spot on the Regional Radio Dream Team.
DeMent says she was elated to find out from her head coach Tara Lamb that she had made it.
Lamb was the Dream Team Volleyball Coach of the Year, and entrusted DeMent with a gigantic role despite her youth as the Tigers made it all the way to the Class 2 state title match.
This was an opportunity that DeMent was very excited about.
DeMent had a lot of fun this year, and while Arcadia Valley is losing two senior Dream Team selections in Macey Browers and Laney Tucker, the current sophomore hopes they can make another run next season as well.
DeMent thinks that she will be needed even more in her junior campaign for vocal leadership.
