Arcadia Valley Volleyball's DeMent Receives Third Straight Dream Team Honor

(Ironton) Maddie DeMent of the Arcadia Valley Tigers is one of the most decorated volleyball players in the area. After having another tremendous season, she added on to her list of accomplishments with another Volleyball Dream Team selection. DeMent says it’s honor to make the team again knowing how many talented players there are in the area.

Earlier this season, DeMent was named the MaxPreps/AVCA Player of the Week in the state of Missouri. During the week of September 21-27, she posted a staggering 76 kills, 47 digs, 5 aces and 10 blocks in only nine sets played. She says it was surprising, to say the least, to win a national award.

Even after winning Player of the Week honors earlier this season, DeMent says her favorite memory from volleyball at AV was their run to the state title match in 2018.

Maddie finishes her career at Arcadia Valley with three Dream Team appearances for volleyball. Next year, she’ll play for the Lindenwood University Lions volleyball program.
