Arizona Man Killed in Fatal Truck Crash in Ste. Genevieve County

(Bloomsdale) A man from Arizona was killed in a truck accident Monday night in Ste. Genevieve County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash took place on I-55 at the 160.4 mile marker, located between ‘D-D’ Highway and the Bloomsdale exit when a Ford L8000 truck, driven by 42-year-old Edgar Rubio-Goncales of San Luis, Arizona, had a mechanical failure, causing the truck to run off the road, it struck a cable barrier, overturned and then caught fire.

Rubio-Goncales was pronounced dead at the scene by the assistant Ste. Genevieve County coroner.
