Arnold Man Who was Shot and Killed by St. Charles County Officer has been Identified

(St. Charles County-Arnold) The Arnold man who was shot and killed for allegedly aiming a gun at a St. Charles County Police Officer last Friday has been identified.

According to reports, it was just after 2am when 32-year-old Daniel Nolan called 9-1-1 and told dispatchers he was suicidal and armed with a gun.

An officer located Nolan in the parking lot outside Castlio Elementary School.

Nolan and the officer were talking when Nolan reportedly walked out of the officer’s line of sight, eventually reemerging and pointing a gun at the officer.

In turn the officer then shot Nolan, who would die from his injuries.

The 46-year-old officer, who is a 23-year veteran in law enforcement, was not injured in the incident.
