Arrest made after 10-year old boy was shot in Festus

(Festus) An arrest was made after a 10-year old Festus boy was shot in the hand last week in the Westowne Trailer Park. Festus Police Chief Tim Lewis says both his department and members of Crystal City worked together to make the arrest.

Chief Lewis says the person arrested is a male juvenile from the Twin City area. He’s been charged with 2nd Degree Assault and Armed Criminal Action. The 10-year old boy did not suffer life-threatening injuries.
